Populations I Support

The populations I frequently work with are first responders, people battling chronic illness, betrayed partners, sex-industry workers, medical professionals, and those in service-industry. I have also helped many people who struggle with terminal illness, end-of-life decision making, and grief.

Many people who work in the medical field, first responders, service-industry, or sex-industry experience traumatic events on a daily basis. Just because a person seems to “handle it well” does not mean that those events don’t leave their mark. People who experience regular traumatic events should engage in nervous system regulation on a consistent basis. This can help to avoid burnout and can help the person to function as optimally as possible at work and in their personal life.

Terminal-illness and end-of-life decision making can be difficult for people to navigate. This can be hard for loved ones as well. Many people avoid discussing important information with their loved ones because it can be troubling for them. Difficult conversations can be worked through, with empathy and respect. After having difficult conversations, ,most people say that they feel a sense of accomplishment, even during a very hard time.

I am a trauma-focused therapist, who is dedicated to supporting individuals recovering from acute and chronic trauma. I focus on creating a safe, empathetic space for processing trauma. I rely heavily on nervous system regulation techniques and trauma processing to help people find relief.

I take a holistic, person-centered approach, recognizing that trauma lives not only in the mind but also in the body and nervous system. Sessions are paced thoughtfully, with care taken to avoid overwhelm and to honor each person’s unique readiness and lived experience. Together, we work to build internal resources, strengthen resilience, and gently reconnect with a sense of safety and agency.

My work is rooted in collaboration and respect, with an emphasis on empowerment rather than pathologizing. I believe healing happens within the counseling relationship, and I strive to meet each client with curiosity, compassion, and transparency.

Whether you are navigating recent events or long-standing patterns shaped by past experiences, my goal is to support meaningful healing that feels steady, respectful, and sustainable.
